Angraecum longicalcar grows in the central highlands of Madagascar at altitudes of 1,000 to 1,200 metres. The stem of this fairly large, elegant plant is very thick and moderately short. The leaves are glossy, long, quite fleshy. The sepals are green-white and waxy, the labellum is clear white, the column and anther cap are pale green and the callus is white. Conservation status according to IUCN: Critically Endangered.
